Jeju United U-15 coach Lee Gun-woo saved a precious life in the sea.

On the night of July 18, while taking a walk near Iho Tae-woo Beach in Jeju City, Coach Lee found a woman struggling in the sea about 30 meters away from the breakwater. After calling 119, he grabbed an emergency tube and life jacket that were nearby and rescued the woman. The situation was urgent and could have resulted in a major accident if not for Coach Lee’s help and sacrifice.

In response, the Jeju Coast Guard (Chief So Byung-yong) awarded Coach Lee a certificate of appreciation for his cooperation in rescuing the drowning woman. On August 21, Sgt. Lee Jae-sook of the Jeju Coast Guard’s Hallim Police Station personally visited Jeju Jung on behalf of the chief of the Jeju Coast Guard to deliver the certificate of appreciation to Coach Lee. 카지노

The Jeju club also organized a meaningful event to honor Lee’s good deeds. On September 3, at halftime of their home game against Jeonbuk Hyundai in the 29th round of the Hana One Q K League 2023 at Jeju World Cup Stadium, they presented Lee with a certificate of appreciation in front of the fans who came to the stadium. Jeju United CEO Koo Chang-yong personally delivered the certificate of appreciation, and the crowd applauded enthusiastically after hearing the story.

Coach Lee said, “Saving someone in danger is a natural thing to do. I’m glad we were able to find and rescue him quickly. I will continue to contribute to the community as a member of Jeju United, the only professional sports team in Jeju Island with the people of Jeju Island.”

Coach Lee is a promising leader who has always practiced a strong sense of mission and service. In 2022, he was awarded the Outstanding Coach of the Year Award for the men’s secondary school team at the 61st Jeonju National Football Championship and National Youth Sports Competition.
