He appeared on the mound two days in a row and recorded his first win and first save in his debut.

LG rookie pitcher Park Myeong-geun (19) rose to the most reliable position in the bullpen in a month. Director Yeom Kyung-yeop praised him as “the best ball” in the current LG bullpen.

Park Myung-geun took the mound in the bottom of the 9th inning with a 2-1 lead against Changwon NC on the 3rd. Leading by one point, the 19-year-old rookie was entrusted with the finishing task. As Ko Woo-seok, the finisher on the 1st, left due to a back injury, LG is operating as a group finisher. In the match against NC on the 2nd, left-hander Ham Deok-joo took the mound 9 times and recorded a save.

Coach Yeom said before the game that day, “We decide the finish depending on the game situation. Park Myeong-geun may come out as the finisher.” Park Myeong-geun took the mound in the 6th inning with a 2-2 tie against NC on the 2nd and recorded a scoreless inning, and recorded a relief victory as LG took a 5-2 lead in the top of the 7th inning.

On the 2nd, Park Myung-geun faced the NC center batting line No. 3-5. Park Min-woo grounded second baseman, Park Kun-woo also grounded second baseman, and Kim Seong-wook lightly blocked it with a strikeout on a swing. When asked why Park Myung-keun, a rookie, was chosen as the center hitter, Yeom said, “(In the bullpen) he has the best pitch.”

Against NC on the 3rd, LG overturned the game 2-1 with Park Dong-won’s solo home run in the 5th inning, and starter Plutko took responsibility until the 7th inning. Following Yoo Young-chan in the 8th inning, Park Myeong-geun took the mound in the 9th.  스포츠토토

It was another NC-centered lineup in the one-point lead. Park Myung-keun recorded the save by treating first batter Park Min-woo with a fly ball to left fielder, striking out Park Kun-woo on a swing, and Chun Jae-hwan with a fly ball to center fielder. The director’s comment, “You have the best pitch,” was not an empty compliment. Park Myung-geun is recording an average ERA of 3.86 with 1 win, 2 holds and 1 save in 13 games this season.

With Pil Seung-jo Jung Woo-young and Lee Jung-yong insecure, and finisher Ko Woo-seok missing due to injury, the role of the 19-year-old rookie has grown. LG won two days in a row on the 2nd and 3rd, but Jung Woo-young and Lee Jeong-yong did not pitch for two consecutive games. Manager Yeom said of the two players, “I give them a break for about two games,” because they are not in normal condition.
