The Lotte Giants are on a roll. They’re making waves, and there’s good news. The clock is ticking on the return of injured players.

First up is foreign hitter Jack Rex. He’ll begin his full rehabilitation next week.

Rex was recently scratched from the first team roster after suffering a knee injury on July 17 and has been working on his recovery. Fortunately, the pain improved quickly and he was cleared to play.

Rex was hitting .261 with two home runs and 20 RBIs in 30 games after opening day before his injury, and he was particularly strong in scoring position. With a .326 batting average with runners in scoring position, he was strong at the plate and did his part by producing the most hits and RBIs on the team.

Now it’s time for him to bounce back. Lotte manager Larry Sutton said, “Rex is making good progress in his rehabilitation. If all goes according to plan, he will be available for a Futures League game on the 30th.”

Lotte has gone 6-4 in the 10 games Rex has missed. With a stable starting lineup and a solid bullpen, the team is in a three-way tie for third place in the standings. Rex’s return to the lineup will help the team rack up wins in June when things really heat up. 메이저놀이터

Veteran right-hander Jeong-hoon, who has been making adjustments in the second team due to a batting slump, has also been improving his form. In 10 Futures League games from Sept. 9-27, Jung is batting .444 with 12 doubles, one home run and four RBIs in 27 at-bats.

After the start of the regular season in April, Jung-hoon went into a severe hitting slump, batting .077 (13-for-2) in 16 games, and was eventually removed from the active roster on April 4. The current batting lineup is good, but the addition of Jung-hoon, who has a one-hitter, will give the team more momentum.

“He’s been playing a lot of Futures League games, and he’s really improved his game,” Sutton said.
