This is SSG’s sixth home game this season, following the opening two-game series against KIA on April 1 and 2, May 13 against the Hanwha Eagles, June 17 against the Lotte Giants, and August 19 against the LG Twins.
Today’s game (April 2) was highly anticipated as it pitted third-place SSG against KIA, which has been on a roll lately with six straight wins.
Prior to the three-game series this weekend, SSG will hold an “Incheon Landing Day” event to commemorate the anniversary of the Incheon Landing on September 15, with the players wearing special uniforms and a program to reflect on the meaning of national service.
